Within the framework of a social work, a social worker held meetings with potential project participants, carried out community interviews, and in consultation with other project workers developed a support plan as well as co-ordinated the proceedings regarding help and support.  The social worker also monitored participation and consequently motivated others to partake in the project. The workers of the District Family Support Centre in Szydlowiec  and  those employed for the project needs, organised educational meetings for guidance counselors, school psychologists, healthcare professionals, courts and the police providing information on domestic violence, how to identify and prevent it.
In order to improve the attitude of domestic violence perpetrators a corrective and educational programme was conducted. The therapy have been carried out on the Duluth Model and it was attended in two editions by fifteen participants. The main gole of the therapy was to make the abusers aware of inappropriate behaviour as well as to teach them how to deal with aggression in an acceptable way.

Within the framework of a group therapy work has been carried out on perceiving and understanding oneself, improving relations with others, understanding how to deal with emotions effectively as well as on improving living conditions. The support was given to those in need of help, both adults and teenagers, who contacted the District Family Support Centre in Szydlowiec. The number of meetings was a subject to individual needs of a person.

Individual therapy was the other form of assistance. Domestic violence victims could solve their crisis situations through personal contact with a professional. The victims received necessary support that allowed them to gain emotional strength and helped them take certain steps towards preventing the increment of domestic violence.

"Training Competencies and Social Skills" training was also organised within the framework of the project, it was run in two editions for thirty-two hours each. The activities were aimed at the development and improvement of interpersonal skills, so essential in confronting helpless situations and social exclusion. The main  task was to build self-esteem, learn basic rules of interpersonal communication, create a positive image of oneself as well as to motivate to undertake new tasks.

Occupational therapy was most successful, it was run in a form personal development workshops that allowed the participants to learn new art skills such as: decoupage, glass painting, jewellery and floristry, which help broaden horizons and allow change. The vital part of the therapy was the possibility for mothers to spend time with their children in an attractive way, they could learn how to co-operate and discover one's unconscious possibilities. The participants took home items created during workshops.

Another type of support was delivered in a form of mediation. Family mediation helped those involved in conflict to find amicable solutions, adjusted to their personal needs and expectations. The mediator helped each side of a conflict to facilitate the communication process as well as equipped them in a skill related to verbalizing their own feelings and needs. A special training  was also run for guidance counselors and social workers by the mediator.

One of the most important tasks implemented within the framework of the project was creation of the Crisis Intervention Centre with two rooms for four and five people, a kitchen, a toilet, a corridor, and an office and administration room. The new centre was fully furnished and equipped in household appliances, bedding etc.
